I wish I were still living in the before times when I could feel far removed from this rather than like this might be my future here in the United States. Regardless, I love movies about news people taking a stand, and this one is particularly well-made. Fantastic movie. And I love how the movie is always having random asides showing that these people fuck lol

Movies like this make me glad I'm seeing all the animated movies submitted for an Oscar last year. This movie has heart. It doesn't always pull everything off as well as it could, but fuck if it doesn't try. And it succeeds generally. You've got horror and friendship and loss and monsters and so much more and it all comes together in a really good movie with a unique style of animation. After watching 5.5 out of 18 hours, I feel confident enough to say that I do not like Twin Peaks: The Return. I don't know why I sometimes feel this need to go this far into a show so I can confirm that I don't like it. The odds of me starting to like it after about 3 hours in were very slim. I shouldn't have to prove to the world that I gave it a fair shot.
