This movie was hilarious! I didn’t learn until afterwards that it was based on a stage play but looking back that makes perfect sense. I heard that there is a lot of French wordplay and that it wouldn’t translate to the English subtitles, and while that is probably still true, Pignon was such a funny character and many of the jokes really landed. The concept alone is just so funny and captivating, and I really recommend this if you like theatrical/screenplay-centric comedies!

I was unsure how I'd feel about this film before I watched it because slice-of-life films like this can be a little hit or miss for me. However, I came out loving it and it's definitely one of my favorites from 2023. Even though it pretty much is about a guy cleaning toilets, I was completely engaged during the whole runtime.

A disturbing masterclass in suspense. Although I've seen it before (even if it was a couple of years ago) and I knew what happens and how it would end I was still at the edge of my seat through the whole movie.
