kiyotaka oshiyama said that this film is a love letter to creatives and it really shows. his (and fujimoto’s) attention to the love, labour, and history folded within an act of creation is palpable in every line of every gorgeous frame. look back is such a special story and this adaptation was faithful and beautiful in all the ways that i hoped it would be, and more. as a fan i couldn’t be happier :)
