Kinda the anti-Man of Steel - quiet, light on action, and not a whole lot to say. I’d forgotten Spacey was the best part of this by a mile but there’s a lot of meh and a lot of nonsense. Why does Lois go on the boat? Why would anyone live on Lex’s island? Clark and Superman both leave for years and then both show back up at the same time and a building full of journalists can’t put two and two together? FOH.

Saying that Denis Villeneuve cooked would be a massive understatement. This man is a Michelin chef and this is his five-star restaurant.
