I hate the name, but it'll have to do as a placeholder. As far as i can tell, relative to Mumblecore, these are more recent films/directors with less talking and more emphasis on cinematography.

Parts of working definition:
1) Budget under $5m
2) Expands mumblecore to genre, especially horror, but including: heist, rom-com, sci-fi, western, documentary, etc.
3) 2012 -
4) Less dialogue overall, and far less 'group-introspective' dialogue, than Mumblecore
5) Challenging cinematography 'norms', often showing the influence of Tarkovsky, Malick, Denis, and similar in use of light, color, and (in particular) focus
