my favorite character in the Batman universe is Ben Mendelsohn as corrupt businessman John Daggett!!!!!! he has maybe seven scenes total and wears a black blazer in all of them—occasionally with a black turtleneck if we’re lucky. i’d rather focus on that instead of why they expect us to pretend like the city’s entire police force being trapped in the sewers for three months isn’t a hilarious situation. it would be like when that Boston cop fell down that slide x 10000
you guys are gonna be like “SHUT UP ABOUT FRASIER!!!” but … every time they called Cillian Murphy “Dr. Crane” i was losing it. i know that the character of Scarecrow predates the hit Emmy-winning NBC sitcom by 50 years, but the fact that they’re both psychologists + the sheer number of times they say his name = absurd. even Batman says “Dr. Crane”!
anyway, i’m the last person on Letterboxd dot com who hasn’t seen the entire Nolan Batman…
to most people, this is fully live-action Enchanted. to me, it is fully live-action Flushed Away (posh guy played by Hugh Jackman accidentally falls through an underwater portal to the urban world, where he finds unexpected romance with an independent woman). both of those movies make more sense and have better endings than this one. but it doesn’t matter. and i don’t care. because:
1. ultimately i do want the majority of these events to happen to me…?

Mike Nichols movie adapted from Nora Ephron book starring Meryl Streep :) please don’t get mad at me but i wish they had cast somebody with sex appeal in the Jack Nicholson role. i thought this was maybe a normal opinion until i read all the reviews by girls going feral for him. i may not be a part of that community but i wish i were so i could give this a full 4 stars like i did for the original novel on Goodreads. a life in which i cannot log and rate every piece of media i consume is no life at all
