666th diary entry!
Quite the reflective film journey with this one.
While I’ve made a point of celebrating other personal numeric milestones, this is ittedly one I’d been anticipating for an unusually long time. I asked friends and fb for recommendations, planned for the ideal viewing experience, made a list of favorite contenders for the honor, and spent days settling on the winner.
The exhaustive process made me question why I had devoted so much time and energy to ~the…

Been trying to show this to my food-loving parents for quite a while now. Not sure if they connected with the humor/commentary as much, but I’m proud of us for trying.
Also, pausing to get cold sake was probably the first time I’ve stopped a movie to retrieve the exact food depicted/discussed. So thanks Dad for using your trademark interruptions to actually enrich our immersive experience.
