I think what makes this one the best of the seventeen Fleischer cartoons is how it nails the formula perfectly. I’ve seen this movie countless times yet seeing it in the theater was when it truly moved me for the first time. I felt every explosion, flew through the battle above Coruscant, let the abject cruelty and spectacle of Order 66 wash over me and felt the heat of battle on Mustafar. My sister saw this at a sleepover a couple weeks ago and thought it was funny bad and really wanted me to watch it. I mean eh? It’s not so bad it’s good, got some cool gore shots and the makeup on the backwater inbred cannibals is impressive enough. Falls for typical 2000s horror tropes at times and never really has that much of an outstanding personality. It does stuff that you could easily find in Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Friday the 13th. I’m flattered when people think of me when they watch a bad horror film but also I’ve seen worse… far FAR worse!
Well the good news is the disc actually played the movie properly unlike the dvd for the first movie. The bad news is I’m honestly still not jazzed about a good chunk of this movie.
