If I have a stranger reaction to a movie this year I'll tweak in a way not yet achieved.

Perhaps one of the funnier and simultaneously most unsettling and grief strucken things I've seen.

So deeply tragic yet, smothered in a comedy that only those of which who have experienced loss of one their close to can latch onto.

Saw with a Q&A with Glazer.

Really remarkably precise for how it was made. (Hidden cameras - practically no film lighting - no visible film crew - 30 min to 1 hour improvisations.)

Shows a lot of horror in its presentation of daily life. Maybe some of the best sound design and mixing of the year - and a haunting score to go with it.

Smart use of vfx and deciding what not to show.

Saw at a Q&A with Yorgos, Tony, and Emma. Thank you for the invite Ilyssa Peltz!!!

Of course that brought my experience level up quite high, but I really believe this movie is fantastic. Consistently original, gorgeous, and absurdly hilarious.

Emma Stone's best performance of her career. Most original costumes and production design in a while.

A really nice hero's journey that knows no boundaries in it's presentation, and left me with a world I find myself wanting to stay…
