Hugh Grant tells all about his nearly 40-year career, from Maurice to Bridget Jones’s Diary to Paddington 2 to Heretic.
Calling all Hugh Heads: we’ve got ten minutes of the English leading man-turned-character actor talking about his filmography, with a special focus on his new horror Paddington 2.
Grant also reveals himself to have a “thirst” (his words!) for 35 millimeter film, and was pleased to hear that his previous horror venture, Ken Russell’s The Lair of the White Worm (1988), was recently programmed at Quentin Tarantino’s New Beverly Cinema.
“I had this weird experience that some do in London,” he recalled to our West Coast Editor Mia Lee Vicino during their interview, which you can read in full on Journal. “This sweaty person pushed his way through the crowd to me, and it was Quentin Tarantino. And to my enormous surprise, he said, ‘Oh, man, I love Music and Lyrics.’ ... And I thought, ‘Surely not, not Quentin Tarantino.’” Surely yes!
