If any Sonic film qualifies as “overstuffed”, it’s 2. An important installment to be sure, pivoting hard towards game accuracy, but I don’t know if the few opportunities for breathing room will appeal to folks who neither loved the first film nor the video games/cartoons/comics etc.
Robotnik is still my favorite Jim Carrey character though.
