One of the most powerful and bravest films I’ve seen. Through the perspectives of a few women, Jafar Panahi gives a very detailed and heartbreaking s of the various ways Iranian women were severely oppressed and living such restricted lives.

The post-film Q&A was great, so lovely to have Jafar Panahi here in person and getting to meet him.

With Jafar Panahi here introducing every film and doing q&a’s, I cannot recommend enough catching any of his films at rhe festival.

I heard someone whisper ‘please adore me’
And when I looked the moon had turned to gold”

I really loved this! Within a mere night of his life, Richard Linklater delivers such a full portrait of a such fascinating and sad artist that I found brutally relatable at times. My heart fucking sank at the end. Ethan Hawke is outstanding. I wish I could’ve given Lorenz Hart a big hug.

Watched this after the Letterboxd Meetup - so great…

Loved loved loved this so fucking much.

I could watch dishevelled Josh O’Connor all day. I adore how much this was a pathetic heist film, and how that ties into America’s involvement in the Vietnam War. Ended on an absolutely perfect note.

I could watch Kelly Reichardt direct anything.

Shoutout to the three old women I met on the way to this screening for the great chat. Hope our paths cross again.

I am shaken to the core. Come and See is the only war film anyone needs to watch.
