Eli Holmie!’s review published on Letterboxd:
To the extent that this follows the rule of thirds it also breaks the traditional framing rule of not having people brush up against the aspect ratios black bars (not leaving “eye room” during C/U), it uncomfortably associates people near the dead space, gesturing to a time and a space we can’t imagine, perhaps the character’s aren’t even privy to it, lack of light and lack of life, they keep the frame moving.
Life is just a game of wondering where the time went, love is just a game wondering what we do when we’re not around,
The moments when it finds other people, settles on the little things, are just glorious - occupy yourself to much with the main thread and you realize there are millions of other lives you will never live, just glimpses as you circle the world. All the birds in the cages, looking out.
