In need of funds for research, Dr. Alan Grant accepts a large sum of money to accompany Paul and Amanda Kirby on an aerial tour of the infamous Isla Sorna. I like this one, it has lots of dinosaurs in it, but minus a million points for the fact that after the army shows up there's no army vs. dinosaur fight, I mean come on.
The raptors talk in this one. Also Laura Dern is a housewife now. At least William H. Macy has a sweet mustache.

LEAVE THE DINOSAURS ALONE MAN FUCK SAKE
Not gonna argue with most of the criticisms people have of this one but I'm sorry it gets the setup out of the way quickly and then transitions into basically 70 straight minutes of solid, mean monster mayhem/survival setpiece machinery courtesy of Johnston. Sometimes all you're looking for is sturdy, economical photography of dinosaurs murdering people. It's kind of insane how badly they messed this simple formula up with the World movies.

Never forget the lesson of Jurassic Park: Only bring back the dinosaurs that are big and slow and eat plants. Cause those dinosaurs are beautiful and when they show up onscreen John Williams’ score gets loud.
The other dinosaurs are bad and should not have been brought back. But those dinosaurs are nice. So they’re okay.
