I have no clue who Emily Bett Rickards is but take my money and give me another ticket to the gun show please! She's absolutely fabulous! A freakin' superstar! Someone I hope to see more of in the future. The climactic championship match was a total Drew vs Sheamus banger!
It's awesome seeing filmmakers take and treat professional wrestling seriously. There are far too few great films about the business and it's many, colorful, creative, tormented, tragic and extremely talented individuals. The Iron Claw and Queen of the Ring are changing that, are easily head of the table. (Don't tell Roman!)

the first half was really bland and rushed, the second half redeemed itself a good bit once things actually got interesting, the whole thing had a somehow overwritten and underwritten script along with some very odd editing and pacing/general scope

I think most people know by now how big of a pro wrestling nerd I am. That’s why I’m always a sucker for pro wrestling biopics even if some do follow a stereotypical biopic formula. Of course I knew that Mildred Burke had a huge influence on women in pro wrestling specifically and one could debate that without her, women’s pro wrestling wouldn’t be where it is today as she also trained women like The Fabulous Moolah and was associated with Mae Young who were also pioneers in that regard.
