me, talking about the cornetto trilogy:

A bit weak comedically, but it's still an incredible, subversive, witty, amazing film. The dramatic stuff here is the best in the trilogy, the stakes are easily the highest, the characters are fun and entertaining. It's a fantastic finish to one of the greatest trilogies ever made, even if it falls ever so slightly short of Hot Fuzz.
how is it that this film about a bunch of middle-aged blokes getting drunk together has far better fight scenes than the entirety of what the Marvel Cinematic Universe has to offer

what does edgar wright have against weatherspoons that he made a movie that compares them to an alien network
There's something about Wright and co's approach to film and comedy that just clicks with me. It started with Spaced and just kept going with the first two parts of the Cornetto trilogy.
I was pretty sure that I'd like the final part of the trilogy, but I didn't expect to like it for completely different reasons. The World's End is nothing like the other two films. Both Shaun and Hot Fuzz are tributes to their genres, The World's End, while clearly in love with the Science Fiction genre, puts story and characters first.
Don't get me wrong, it is definitely a Cornetto film with its cartoonish violence, frenetic editing and quotable comedy, old habits die hard which in this…
i am honestly still very mad that marvel couldn't compromise and forced edgar wright to leave ant-man
