Take all the tension of The French Connection and relocate the story to the West Coast in the 80s. Replace Gene Hackman with William Peterson. Keep the car chase. Lose Roy Scheider but add Wang Chung and Willem Dafoe. You're getting close.

DC Showcase: Adam Strange

Another in the DC Showcase animated shorts line, attached to Justice League Dark: Apokolips War. I confess to knowing next to nothing about Adam Strange, so that made this viewing both a thrilling little fifteen-minute ride... and a confusing one, as I would like to know more.

Near as I can figure, he's a tragic soul, "Quantum Leaping" his way through the Galaxy helping folks in need while he waits for the right opportunity to get back to set things…
