I should've got my haircut.
Why didn't I shave my face?
Can everyone hear my dog barking?
I'm just so exhausted from work.
What can I do to pep up?
Am I listening?
Does this make any sense at all?
Stay focused; don't just wait to speak.
Should I have gotten super stoned?
I hope no one sees my insane sweat stains.
God my back hurts.
I should really focus on my posture more.
Gotta get a better recording setup,…

Well, I shared the link for this on the ol' LB a year ago; from one Christmas to another. The video has been unlisted this whole time as it was still in contention for some festivals, but that chapter on the film has fully come to a close, so now the film is fully available for public consumption.

Watch it here

I've appreciated all the I have been able to get (both on and off LB), and would love…

★½ 5

It brings me no joy to say, this is simply bad.

:(

2 stars feels generous

EDIT: One of the homies asked what I had against this in the comments, and after typing it all out, I knew I was lying with it being 2 stars.... I'm so sorry Tom, but you failed your mission.

Final Destination Bloodlines

2025

★★★½ 2

Saw the first two Final Destinations many times on TV as a child/early teen; Have seen nothing since (and only a few random scenes (prolly the big ones)). Saw this at the drive in and had a good time. Every Rube Goldberg setup was a joy (and lends to some intuitive/ingenious filmmaking, in drawing attention and making connections), and the actual bloodshed usually made me guffaw. Every scene with like, “drama”, was horrendous and stupid, but I think it knows that. Idk, fun! Gory! Dumb! 👍

I do want to watch em all!

This shouldn't work. It should be deplorable, convoluted, annoying, and pretentious. It should make me feel sick, I should hate this, I should never want to look at Vincent Gallo, and I should wash this away from my life. But I just can't. It just works. It's magical really. Brilliant performances all around, wild stylistic choices, and a moving tale of a horrible protagonist (that you somehow feel bad for (sometimes)) slowly learning to accept, take responsibility, and love. What…
