Possibly the longest scene dissolves I’ve ever seen. Every one of them

The poster claims "The most dangerous Love-game ever played", but it falls somewhat short of that.
Romy Schneider and Alain Delon are, as always, great to watch. The production design, music, and cinematography are all lovely. Jane Birkin is, as usual, pretty flat.
The problem really is the pacing - the murder happens 30 mins towards the end of a two-hour film - and the final 20 mins are an unsatisfactory conclusion.
