i enjoyed this different angle on the ghost story, and it looked absolutely gorgeous. well-acted, but i felt like many of the characters seemed kind of one-note and the narrative itself could have been stronger. worth the watch just for that smooooth camera work though

i was begging BEGGING for one (1) coherent scene with any realistic portrayal of emotion or character motivation, but nope just a shit ton of screaming, gagging, and hacking

this is such a sincere and sweet movie it's killing me. everyone is beautiful and pitch perfect in this (cate is is being a empress, saint, and deity here), the costuming is unreal, the photography is gorgeous, it's just so much fun to watch
