As a Poli Sci and Crim major who’s also a freelance journalist and soldier, this was def a v interesting watch. News is emerging about a ceasefire between Israel and Palestine TODAY as I watched a movie showcasing a terrorist act on hostages of the same conflict. I give it a 5 star for the blend between news channel politics and the overlapping real life atrocities. Chef’s kiss for the coffee analogy and Marianne. ❤️

Babygirl! This was an odd movie. Very funny at times, and then overly lengthy scenes at other times. It had the potential to be a psychological thriller but it completely missed its shot by not including more on Romy’s personal background. Babygirl should have been a short film. Harris Dickinson however absolutely devoured, all three stars are for him.

Love me a movie that was shot in Europe. I’m also a big fan of Lady Gaga so it was a great watch for me. The movie was shot in a traditional way rather than modern, therefore the cinematic experience was definitely elevated! Here are my favourite dialogues:
“Blind in one eye, deaf in the other.”
“I had no idea I married a monster. -You didn’t, you married a Gucci.”
“You’re an idiot, but you’re my idiot.” (Said during two significant plot twists)

The way the characters were written did not deviate from the real personalities of Bob Dylan or other people in his life. In my opinion, they felt real and not exaggerated, seeing their flaws was important. The songs were enjoyable and the few comical scenes were beautifully played and well inserted. I appreciated the fact that the side characters as well as the background actors were demographically accurate according to the decade in question. TIMOTHÉEEEEE CHALAMETTT
