I went in a bit skeptical but it grew on me a lot as it went along and all of its threads built to their crescendos.

I already thought she was great but finally seeing more Vicky Krieps in other films this year has made her performance here feel even richer and brilliant.

Only thing it’s missing is more villains. Should’ve had at least 10. Honestly, it did sur my low expectations enough to be a satisfying if rocky experience. Insert quote from MJ about disappointment.

There was one hidden cameo that I know for a fact that I'm the only one who cared about it. More on that for a later date...

Far from bad but fairly generic and way overlong. I'm trying to pinpoint anything I particularly liked from it besides the lead's distinctive look. He was a good choice.

I didn't realize how close Knebworth was to my University. Would've been cool to go to an event like this. I expected it to be a straight concert film but there's really hardly a full song allowed to breathe here. It's very entertaining and heartfelt, but a major case of rose-tinted glasses.
