THE FATHER is an incredible labyrinth. Anthony Hopkins gives one of the greatest performances of the year, bolstered by a truly soulful Olivia Colman, but it's the design of the whole thing that's left me reeling. It's just exquisitely created. Every time you get comfortable or start to think you know where it's going, there's a reset or a return.
Wanna get my hands on this script so badly. Extra half star because I have been struggling with memory issues lately and Hopkins really nailed layers of perspective that I haven't been able to articulate.
