MI movies were always a bit silly when it comes to plot but this one is borderline fantasy. However, when it comes to pure action and spectacle this series just keeps getting better and better.

From an intense opening to satisfying finale, the Salvation is as dark, dirty and gritty as some of the best westerns usually are. Mads Mikkelsen is as badass and stoic as ever and ing cast is full of disgusting human beings, just waiting to catch Mads' bullet. If there is one thing I didnt like its cinematography. Everything looked kind of unreal, either too bright or too dark. There were also a lot of strange, unecessary cuts that didnt make any sense to me. If you are a fan of darker westerns, like Unforgiven or Proposition, you will like the Salvation.
