If The Worst Person in the World is a mushroom trip, this is the purest dose of LSD. Name-checking the endless influences we recognize in its DNA is a fun exercise for any movie, but sometimes ultimately fruitless, because the circumstances that bring us to where we are right now is the point. The vibration of the rest of the universe fuels the energy that keeps us going, even when it feels like the whole world is drowning in it. Buy the ticket, drop it like a tab, and hang on as revelatory epiphanies get more and more into focus, leading to a clarity that we actually already knew: whether chaos is taking the reins or not, no matter which route this all goes, it’s all still the same thing.
Don’t forget to breathe.
