Kevin Jacobsen’s review published on Letterboxd:
There is a mellow energy to On the Rocks that you will either appreciate or find underwhelming. Count me as an appreciator. This is far from an electrifying story but the film sings whenever Rashida Jones and an impossibly charming Bill Murray share the screen and engage in airy but layered conversation. Coppola has always been a master of atmosphere and while this may be more straightforward than most of her mysterious, melancholic work in the past, her dreamy sensibility remains.
