Didn’t do it for me. Really looked forward to this one. Something about it tried a little too hard artistically, the dialogue was slightly on the extra side, pacing was off, and production felt too clean. I second Dell’s sentiment to getting stoned listening to Steely Dan. I would walk home from work, atleast 2 miles across the city, sit down in front of PS3 and throw on a CD and light up. I had 2 or 3 CDs on rotation and Steely Dan’s Aja was definitely one.

When I truly fall in love with this film is when Jeremiah begins to build his world all thanks to stumbling across one bald headed circumstance. His happiness and love shared among those whom adapted their lives to him. They’ve been thrust together out in the wild, beautiful, unforgiving, mother nature. Where the only law is the natural one.
