idk tbh, compelling concept but the only thing bleak here is the fact I haven't eaten anything in 15 hours. Its higher aspirations and lower poise lead this to feel inconsequential to not only Talk to Me's effective novelty but the rest of the genre. These images alone are compelling and strong, but it fails to legitimately tie that with viscera, it all feels empty, nothing has its moment to stand. Not as cruel or nasty as everyone is imposing, this is actually full of over-sentimentality [a good thing] I just don't get where the consensus is coming from. These guys are talented, anyone complaining about its platitudinous metaphors need to get over themselves [it's the name of the game] and calling them 'hacks' over this is a surefire way of making me think you are incredibly stupid and should be shot to death via firing squad, but this fell really flat for me, Sally Hawkins excluded.
