49. Watch An Action Film Directed By A Director Not Known for Action Films

Lucio Fulci was a chameleon, while known for his horror output the man has dabbled in drama, action, comedy, western, and even sex comedies. Contraband is a title that's been on my watchlist for years even though I've seen over twenty of his films and found some enjoyment of titles I didn't so much actually care for, I just wasn't ever driven to give it a try.

While I can't say I was won over by Contraband there are many attributes I want to praise, notably what Fulci does best- the gore! Heads are blown from point blank range, bodies are riddled by bullets, chests are blown open by double barrels, this thing packs the gore on par with one of his horror pictures.

And the gore is about all I can love since I never got invested into the plot or characters. Like I said, even Fulci films I don't click with I still enjoy. He's one of my favorite directors and I truly believe all of his films are worth a watch.
