I just liked this movie. I would not put it in Wes Anderson’s upper tier, but it was enjoyable and of course it looks great. Mia Treapleton and Michael Cera were the standouts and every line from Richard Ayoade was hilarious. Wes Anderson brought out the rare handheld camera for like 4 seconds, but I really wanted a little more. Though, I felt the movie was longer than it actually was. Good time at the theater, will watch again soon.

I liked this movie. I feel like it felt the need to explain things a little too much, rather than let the audience figure it out for themselves. Christopher Abbot looked absolutely disgusting (that’s a good thing) as the Wolfman. Although I think the final form could have been hairier. The metaphor of “us becoming our parents” is a cool subject to explore in Wolfman form. The score was nice and tragic all the way through. A worthwhile time at the movies.
