I watched this movie in the theater by myself. I go to the movies by myself sometimes, but this movie was particularly a special solo watch. It really carried a bittersweet feeling throughout. It captured the sometimes warm melancholy of the holiday season very aptly.

I loved Lily-Rose Depp and Willem Dafoe, obviously. But, other than their performances, I was like… who cares. It would have been cool if when he lurked out from the darkness, he sparkled ever so slightly, similar to renowned vampire Edward. Maybe next remake, just a thought.

I liked Turning Red because it was like how can we piss off conservative parents with a totally normal thing, also red pandas. 8/10

This movie is a lot like the tv show House because it has a doctor who is also a pretentious asshole but by the end of the episode (or 2 hr movie in this case) some redeemable quality in the midst of assholery is found. Also he has a dumb name; House / Strange. Did someone proofread the script to make sure this isn’t just a spin-off? And did they take the golden lasso from Indiana Jones? That’s rich. I think my favorite part of this movie was where Benedict Cucumberpatch looked confused
