I guess this really didn’t need another “remake”.
Everything that made the original Ju-On and first US remake great feels missing from this version.
It doesn’t give you that fear and misery that the previously mentioned ones do… or maybe we’ve just moved on.
2nd time around watching and loved it just as much as the 1st time.
I’m unsure if I prefer this or the 1st film in the series.
Both ultimately set out to achieve that uneasy / pending doom feeling and do it with ease.
This is my second time watching and I absolutely love this film. A great way to do a faux documentary. Tense, unnerving and a once it gets going it doesn’t stop.
