Hello there! Thought it would be kind of cool to participate in this whole Letterboxd Showdown thing for once. I participated in the last one - Zombie Nation - only because I already made a list with my favorite and least favorite zombie films, and I didn't participate in the other ones because I didn't think they were all that interesting (or I was being lazy, or both!). "Vacation locations" seemed like a fun one though, probably because there are so damn many movies with people on vacation, and they're all different.
I do think there is one rule in place, however: no films where one or more of the main characters are at a vacation location for their job.…

I do think there is one rule in place, however: no films where one or more of the main characters are at a vacation location for their job. This pretty much means that Jurassic Park technically doesn't qualify, whereas Jurassic World does (the park is open, and the kid characters are on holiday there). The Shining doesn't qualify either. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy!
Probably the weirdest list I've ever made.
(Interestingly, I don't think *any* Friday the 13th film after Part 4 qualifies, except Part 8 and the remake)
(Total Recall probably doesn't count, but I'm including it for a good ol' giggle)
