Three separate stories all tied together neatly by the end of the film. My favorite section was "The Sword". It contained great drama and action before the Predator got involved. The action in "The Bullet" didn't necessarily work for me, but the character development and premise was still solid. The animation was also very good, and perfectly fitting for a film like this.
I know Connery and Cage are the most talked about for their chemistry and individual performances, but to me Ed Harris was the showstealer. He had the best arc out of the leading trio and gave that performance his all. The "I will not give that order!" scene he had with Michael Biehn was iconic.
This felt like a more "controlled" Michael Bay movie, in that it didn't descend into straight lunacy (for better or worse) and a lot more…
