One of the tightest scripts ever put to film, and also like the least disney disney movie. It’s so good.

On a first watch of the film I’m genuinely kinda torn. There’s a lot of cute stuff in the middle of the film. But by the end.

But it also boasts some truly awful filmmaking at the beginning and the worst case of adaptational villainy I can think of. It’s not very good.

The Wild Robot is a modern masterpiece. The most recent addition in the line of Chris Sanders’ interspecies found family movies. This one has such a heart to it that I wound up adoring it in a way where it’s going to be one I see several more times. Just a masterpiece.

Also, my possum friend is gonna enjoy the possums. She knows who she is.

Wow, that was awful.
