For a low budget movie, it aims high. While it doesn’t always land gracefully, I appreciated a journey trying to evoke 90s family movies. The visuals and score are real standout components that make Ochi work as well as it does.

Clearly reveres the original trilogy and, in turn, creates a sequel that feels right at home. There’s a firm enough story propping up the ever increasing outlandish deaths, but it’s a movie that knows exactly what it wants to be and nails the landing.

It’s a delight to have Ford back as Indiana Jones, but Dial of Destiny is far from perfect.
