Sook-Yin Lee’s review published on Letterboxd:
I arrived late to a birthday party, and everyone was watching a movie. I like the challenge of landing in the middle of a film and trying to figure it out, but this one was tough. Something about sleeping and electrical wires coming to life. Bad guys morphed into boring guys, and perverts became disinterested in sex. Hot lights, colourful gels, and big 80s hair. For a while, everything was just red. One ending led to another ending until the endings wouldn't end. A dumb hero, handsome and heroic, turned damaged and masochistic before morphing into a mystical presence ALL within three scenes. An electrical monster forced itself on a woman like a bad date. Stoner saved the day, and someone kicked down the door and yelled, “MERRY CHRISTMAS !” I do not understand, but I reckon these freaky filmmakers had fun making it.
