Feels like this one got back on track after the brief and wacky detour that was MI2. Still doesn't take itself too seriously but feels a little more grounded in some kind of reality. This one is undoubtably lifted by PSH. He's never met a role he couldn't absolutely crush and getting to see him act in a scene with himself is a highlight for sure.

★★★★½ Watched

While the talent and work ethic of Joyce Carol Oates can never be questioned, This documentary kind of left me asking...but why? An intensely private woman that does not want to be in a documentary finally agreeing due to the persistence of the film maker... it feels a bit like an invasion of her privacy. She has written too many books to do a full retrospective, and touched on too many different subjects to try to tie them all together.…
