This is only the beginning!

I got to see Dune last night at the IMAX theater and WOW. Rarely are there movies with such strong visual power in its images. Every scene was breathtaking to watch. Hans Zimmer made everything seem even more majestic with the soundtrack and the actors fit like they were born for these roles. The pacing might seem a bit slow to today's standards. But for me, it fit just right. It wasn't tough at any…

Same procedure as every year. One weekend with friends, a lot of junkfood and Lord of the Rings.

This is my favorite of the trilogy.

A movie that could actually have been quite cool in of the story. The camera and setting also feel like a classic 80s movie from the USA. But the characters are so obnoxious that you couldn't connect at all and that kind of ruined the whole movie for me.

Such creative concepts for movies are always fun, especially when the characters slowly understand what they are involved in. The bright, sunny setting, on the other hand, s the mood of melancholy that arises.

The movie had more potential than was realized, but it was still a fun movie.

Unfortunately, not at all convincing. The first hour was completely forgettable: bad acting and no script. At least the music they used from other films is nicely fitting and the cinematography is also okay. As soon as the Asian actors appear, it gets a bit better, because they show a lot more acting. Gérard Depardieu and his sons in the film manage to make every scene emotionally dead. Too bad. The premise sounded great.
Watchable. But don't.

Doesn't reinvent the genre, but still a super fun spy/action movie starring one of my favorite actors. Rattles off as good as all the stations that a spy film must treat. The camera, effects and lighting are worthy of mention. The rest is rather mediocre.
I would still be curious about a sequel.
