classic wes. i do love the visuals he crafts but this one was just not as poignant to me as his others. fell a little flat emotionally even thought i enjoyed the family story. i loved the 3 main character performances, especially michael cera. he morphed into timothee chalamet at a point which was really funny

Fosse pulls every bit of creepiness out of the Kit Kat Club and then slowly lets that creepiness invade the real world until the only thing left is the creepiness. It’s beyond effective. Some of the best shot music numbers in any movie.
