Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning

2025

One last mission. One final time.

As a summer opening blockbuster and as the final film in a major franchise, this one is pretty awesome. The plot is wildly ridiculous, balls to the wall insane and thoroughly entertaining. It takes Ethan from the deepest depths of the ocean to the highest heights of the sky and a few other places in between. Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation

2015

★★★★ Liked Rewatched

Ghost Protocol has better and more entertaining action scenes but Rogue Nation has a much more interesting villain with Sean Harris as Solomon Lane. The whole opera scene is great, both main stunts - the plane and the underwater vault - are both very suspenseful, and the motorcycle chase was very exciting.

Oscar Isaac is terrifying as the super-intense Miguel O'Hara and Jason Schwartzmann is hilarious as Spot, who's actually a formidable villain with cool powers. The cameos,…

Alien: Romulus takes the franchise back to its roots: the kind of terror that makes your blood run cold, Weyland-Yutani mercilessly sacrificing employees so they can get their hands on the Xenomorphs, and the hubris of man thinking it can control such an astonishingly destructive, murderous, and resilient creature. Romulus delivers a truly incredible but also incredibly terrifying experience. Without spoiling anything, it goes in several directions I wouldn’t have expected and there’s more than a few twists and turns.…
