A pretty standard talking heads, historical documentary, but I absolutely love this era so much. Hearing Lydia Lunch, Jim Jarmusch, Nick Zedd, Steve Buscemi, and many more all coming together to talk so candidly about this influential time just brings me pure joy. Tickles my fascination for anthology, history, music, film, and independent underdogs all at once. Also I knew Lydia Lunch was a No Wave icon, but HOLY SHIT,,, she's literally the most prolific figure of this scene, from her band's work to her absolutely insane laundry list of acting credits that also spread into the Cinema of Transgression era.

A sweet, sensual, and atmospheric Roman Porno with a clown, murder, and chair sex. It's a lot less surreal than that sounds and more rather sedated and slow-moving. Lots of smoke and fog, voyeurism, and body painting. I loved seeing a deranged erotic thriller this hedonistic yet steady-paced and mannered. It's got a rather wild and rather bleak ending too that was the cherry on top.

There's really nothing like this movie. It's like if sitting outside on a humid, summer evening while listening to the cicadas and looking up at the stars was a movie. It's a beautiful meditation on existence, the environment, and love---it effortlessly weaves together science fiction, coming-of-age romance, slow cinema, low fantasy storytelling, and cosmic horror elements all into an unwinding, arthouse mystery.

The soundtrack is mesmerizing. A warm ambient score washes away over most of the movie, but the blasts of bombastic drums really leave an impact because of it. Lots of slow-motion too---feels like being suspended in time. Also am I the only one who feels like there's a fair bit of autism representation you can read into now as well?

An absolute fucking nightmare. A gross, sleazy, filthy take on the home invasion exploitation subgenre. Despite being messy and pure Italian, tone-shifting filmmaking, this was an effectively gritty horror thriller. I'm in no way surprised this was on the Video Nasties list because it's uncomfortable with its violence and lewdness. David Hess is a great smug asshole who you want to punch in his fucking face so bad. Tense and strange film I liked more than I expected.

I didn't expect this to be like a Haunted House movie for some reason, but had a fun time still. I wish the pace was tighter---I think 15 to 20 minutes would save the middle chunk of this movie a lot. But there's some wild practical effects still and a real great atmosphere! It also has some Saw-like traps and tension there. I am excited for the sequel because I've heard it's more psychosexual. Thanks Japan!

Kinda loved this weirdo slasher thriller with 90s hairplugs Christopher Walken---also with giallo sprinkles. Goes from Saved by the Bell to a Cannon movie in the most oddball and entertaining way. It also feels like a post-Twin Peaks era rip-off with its confused tone, grand score, blonde-turned-bad, and mystery plotline.

A lot of fun. Loved its dreamy, over-the-top style. The humor was light thankfully, too, and I was compelled with the romance and supernatural folklore. Lots of great practical effects and just a beautiful looking film all around. Not at all surprised this inspired the later Freddy sequels with their maximalist death set pieces and otherwordly imagery. Also that long tongue too.. 🫦

Dumber, broader, less going on. I was able to get through the first Scary Movie without many issues, but this was a cringe-inducing chore. I'm sure I liked it as a kid bc of the potty humor and being a horror fan already, but it feels like something only funny to an elementary school student now.

Also hilarious that they went with a grab bag parody of "Supernatural" horror here... Something I think *could* work because that's what made the classics from Mel Brooks and the Zuckers work so well rather than focusing so much on a specific film to parody scene-for-scene. But they kinda blow that opportunity too? Like they still do a 13 Ghosts and the remake of House on Haunted Hill parody (which dated this movie by the time it was in theaters) and do an Exorcist and Poltergeist parody (respectively, 30 and 20 years too late.)

As much as I didn't care for the first one, they were at least lucky enough to be satirizing massive cultural films that still have staying power like Scream and The Matrix. Meanwhile, Scary Movie 2 is grasping at straws doing Charlie's Angels reboot parodies...

I used to LOVE these movies as a kid. Endlessly rewatched the first 4 so many times and I the 5th coming out and being old enough to think "huh, that looks like shit..."

I don't think this movie really holds up for me. It's just not that funny; I counted one laugh and two chuckles from me (eventually I had to start counting because 20 minutes had ed and I hadn't laughed once.) The comedy is SO broad and on-the-nose. I can't think of anything more redundant than doing a parody of Scream which is already a meta satire on slashers. They literally even do the same jokes and commentary that are *in* Scream directly like "who would play us in a movie?!?! Haha." Well, at least now there's fart and dick jokes now.....

Now, can you imagine how awkward watching that stupid ass Ms. Man scene with my trans boyfriend that keeps GOING and GOING, but not like in a Buster Keaton/Charlie Chaplin way, but in a "middle schooler trying really hard to make you laugh" kinda way

I enjoyed this a lot more than Talk To Me! It almost feels like a magical realist family drama take on occult horror? Wasn't sure how to feel throughout the first act, but the intrigue got to me by the second act. It ramps up nicely and I appreciated the film not holding your hand and having a character explain everything---you figure it out yourself. Great child acting too! Dont watch if teeth get to you because there are two scenes, one involving a knife and one involving a wood counter, that were gnarly even to me.

Seeing this in the theater, I'm reminded why I have grown to despise coming here sometimes. Movie started and the lights dim and two people in front of me were on their phones. I yelled at one to turn their phone off and they did. The other wouldn't stop either, literally checking Snapchat locations mid-movie (???) so I also had to tell them to stop and they did. This was my first time ever having to tell someone to please stop; my screenings for Final Destination Bloodlines this year and In a Violent Nature from last year were terrible too and I didn't say anything---just got annoyed and distracted the whole runtime. But this time I couldn't take it because it was my fucking date night with my boyfriend and those are so much more rare nowadays with the price of shit,,, When I can see you check you phone at 3:00, 3:03, 3:05, 3:07, 3:10 BECAUSE ITS SO BRIGHT IN MY PERIPHERAL VISION,,,, I'M TELLING YOU TO TURN YOUR PHONE OFF NOW!!! *old man shakes fist at cloud*

anyway, great movie.

Few movies are able to keep the momentum that this one does. It just keeps getting better and building with more elaborate setpieces and eye-popping choreography as the runtime speeds by.

It looks absolutely amazing. Not just the firey cinematography, but the gorgeous backdrops, sets and the overall scale felt really whisped me away. Yoi also get these beautiful, bright and bombastic horns that play throughout the soundtrack that I adored. Incredible fight scenes with everything from a dangerous tussle involving a horse and pole fighting with a lady strapped on your back.

The narrative shifts I thought were handled nicely. The real life death of Alexander Fu and the rewriting of the narrative thereafter could've really made this a mess or feel exploitative,,, but it works really well. Fu's character already being this atypical, PTSD-riddled character makes sense to see him fade away in the middle act. If anything, it made for a more engaging story because it's like it pulled a Psycho or A Nightmare on Elm Street on me by switching main characters and making the scope of things feel really epic.

Also I loved the old man who just wanted crackers!

Get this: Isabella Rosellini conceived, wrote, directed, and starred in this absurdist comedy edutainment series about animals having sex... AND IT'S ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

Not only is it high-camp, hilarious fun but it's legitimately informative. You don't realize you're *actually* learning about how spiders cum into their hands to mate with each other because you're laughing at Rosellini in a puppeteered arachnid costume, moaning and mugging at the camera. All the elaborate sets and costumes really made this a lot of fun. Pure vision and weird creativity. It borders on surreal performance art and I loved every damn minute of it.

Thinking about how I lost my virginity after watching this movie for the first time and whether there's a connection there.

I'm convinced if this was made in the west, it would be considered a classic. But bc it's made in Hong Kong it's unfortunately sitting at <400 watches on Letterboxd.

I went into this one expecting a spooky supernatural horror flick but instead got a VAMPIRE FLICK! Still in many ways a ghost movie, but infused with a jiangshi Dracula. I absolutely loved Szu-Chia Chen in this as a helpless, possessed cosmetologist. And I can't say I've ever seen a film with haunted lenses!

It's got an amazing atmosphere and the beautiful colored lighting I've come to love about Kuei Chih-Hung. It's got a great pace, despite being a tad overlong, because it really lets the moodiness of the scenes ring out. It's lighter on blood and gore, but makes up for it with creepiness and eerie psychological moments. It's still gnarly; just swap out your crucifix and garlic for incense smoke, and melt some faces

Pee-Wee Herman is one of my favorite characters from fiction EVER. No-one has ever captured childlike whimsy, raunch, and camp the way Paul Reubens did. Pee-Wee's Big Adventure is one of the greatest comedies and 80s films in my opinion too. Hearing Reubens finally talk candidly about these things REALLY meant a lot. The CRAZIEST fact was Shelley Duvall being the one who helped get Tim Burton as director for Big Adventure.

It is a very funny doc because Reubens witty personality is on full-display. Despite the amount of sadness, it's still a very heartwarming documentary. I am happy they didn't shy away from both of his stints with the police, and really did try to paint a holistic image of Reubens headspace. He was a DEEPLY frustrated and closeted man, hiding behind a veil of irony until it crushed him---both the stress and the fear.

I really appreciated the presentation here, almost acknowledging the meta aspects of the production. The film comments on the ideas of vulnerability and truth. Who's really steering the narrative: Whether it's Reubens, Pee-Wee, the documentarian, or the media itself. The amount of names they got surprised me, like seeing Elvira, Tim Burton, and Ms Yvonne as talking heads was a treat that made this feel a lot stronger with its information than even I expected. A great two-part watch!

(Also as someone who has binged every episode and keep every episode of Pee-Wee's Playhouse on a flashdrive in my TV at all times,,, Paul, you didn't have to tell me there was homoeroticism in that show---it was blatantly obvious when in every episode, shirtless hunks would hang out in the playhouse and I love you for that)

I absolutely love this movie! Rewatched again a month later and still adored its melodramatic folk horror mayhem.

How could you not love...

This ended up being a much more intimate documentary than I expected. I went in expecting more of a straightforward, talking head style that just covered the history of Freddy's Revenge, but it's more of a portrait of Mark Patton and his tragic journey with stardom and queerness. I saw a lot of my boyfriend, who is a career artist, in Mark down to the shyness and vulnerability. Jack Sholder being like "Quit blaming David Chaskin" as if they don't show how much of a weasel he is and Sholder fundamentally misunderstands the burden Patton felt with not only his identity but the impact of that damn movie on his life!

Black magic movies are amazing, dammit! This Indonesian supernatural × folk horror classic starring the beautiful Suzzanna is a wild time! If you ever wanted to see a douchebag groper get his comeuppance by grabbing a tit and then it immediately falling off and squirting milk in his eye, THIS MOVIE IS FOR YOU!

Watched on my Pink Flamingos Criterion Blu-ray. A genuinely really great documentary that also makes me feel very warm. I like that it touches on the exploitation and queer cinema that influenced John Waters in his early years. RIP Divine. And please PLEASE let John Waters make another movie, He's been trying to get that Aubrey Plaza flick based on his book off the ground FOREVER!

Literally a Goosebumps episode for adults!

Same spooky music and camp and supernatural horror tale, but also trades in for some splatter gore and 2000s frenetic editing. It could be better if the pace wasn't so weird and didn't struggle to have proper leads you follow. Nevertheless, I had some fun with this occult horror flick with a unique bottle premise inside a subway tunnel. It just kinda needed to be crazier and tightened in the script and edit.

Kinda hilarious. Caught this on the Universal Monsters channel on Pluto TV and... you know what... I think that's enough explanation.

A slow-burn Japanese horror short that worked for me because of the BALLS TO THE WALL ending. A body horror splatterfest sure to please practical effects lovers like myself. But it's a drama for much of the runtime which reminded me of Audition. Much like that movie, the climax makes things worthwhile.

This is another Mo Lei Tau I checked out from the Yuen clan that's part of a loose trilogy. While it doesn't quite live up to the absurd nonsensical heights of The Miracle Fighters, this movie still is a blast. The comedy is a bit more juvenile yet it's also leans into it's horror elements a bit more. Lots of fantasy fun, kung fu, and slapstick. I loved the banana monster a lot with his giant teeth!! Also expect virgin genital inspections because... comedy.

Not only is Coraline perhaps the best looking 4K disc I've ever seen, it's a movie that gets better with time. On this watch, I was really marveling at the technical side of the stop-motion and editing.

It's impeccable how they were able to make seamless transitions between scenes---it's so cinematic and doesn't feel creatively restricted but rather robust like kids playing in a sandbox. Even just how they animate certain characters with differing body language like Wybie always having a tilted head and eccentric movements or the father going from cold and emotionless to cheery or the mom's very rigid, stern gesticulations.

16 years later (we are unc now) and this could release today and *still* be a beloved classic. It's mature and edgy enough to keep adults happy and make for awakening repeated viewings; it's also still light-hearted and silly and fantastical in a way that really captures the vastness of a child's imagination and emotions. Easily one of the greatest stop-motion films of all-time, up there with Mary and Max and Alice for me. Stop-motion captures nuances of life in a very cerebral way that only careful, hand-touched, frame-by-frame animation can achieve. It's able to be familiar and so frightening at the same time which makes for such a perfect marriage to an emotional portal fantasy tale like this.

Discovering Hong Kong cinema has been like a 7-layer dip that I'm still only a few bites through. Today, I learned of a Hong Kong absurdist comedy subgenre that arose during the late 70s and 80s called "Mo Lei Tau" which translates to "makes no sense". These are comedies with the selling point being how nonsensical and out-there the films can get. Most famously, Stephen Chow has made several Mo Lei Tau films. The Miracle Fighters was helmed by the Yuen Clan who are a family of creatives in the directing and stunting world that made films like Taoism Drunkard and Dreadnaught, and they had an incredible influence in the choreography world.

The Miracle Fighters is an absolute blast, holy shit. I talk a lot about how much I love the unabashed freedom of Hong Kong cinema in their black magic films, wuxia films, and Category III cinema, but this film takes it to a whole new level of WTF entertainment. Within the first 5 minutes, I exclaimed aloud "This is peak!" and sat up from my bed to get even closer to the TV in excitement. When you see a white faced, red cheeked ghost use a vase as their body like Dana Carvey's Turtle Club disguise, you get HYPED!

This is filled to the brim with hilarious and strange non-sequitors. You also get some amazing kung-fu and you also get some wuxia and you also get some fantasy horror, on top of it being a comedy. It's a grab bag of wild ideas all in service of pure unadulterated insanity. You get a really likable cast of weirdos and sorcerers and underdogs and antiheros and evil villains floating on wires. Amazing!

SUPER early found footage horror! While Cannibal Holocaust (and to a lesser extent The Legend of Boggy Creek) laid the groundwork for the subgenre, this 1988 Shot-on-Video J-Horror is like witnessing the shape of scary movies to come.

Being only 40 minutes in length helps the set-up not drag on too long like later Found-Footage films. I always prefer the mockumentary style or "lost broadcast" presentation like WNUF Halloween Special or my fav fav Ghostwatch. It's a slow-building and realistic creeper that does a great job of making the whole thing feel authentic, so when shit hits the fan, it is startling and effective. Part of the ending could be seen as a lil silly, but I actually like the surreal imagery of it so I respect it.

A very pretty animated environmental drama fantasy short film. The hand-drawn, almost dreamy pencil animation was gorgeous---really helped the colorful impact as the utopian angle builds throughout. Very beautiful!

A great mini-doc about one of the most quietly influential tattoo artists of the 20th century who also happened to be a paraplegic and circus performer. His use of color is particularly notable and his shading is just magical. Also THE Ed Hardy shows up to shoot the shit and get a tattoo from Stoney. Was also great to learn that Stoney's shop was in my homestate of Ohio. RIP!

Is Strays high art? No. Is it incredibly impressive this was TV movie-of-the-week slop for the USA Network? YES!

One of the most concise examples of killer cats in cinema. So many on-screen compared to most that just have one or go the cat people approach. Its got a low death toll, but its feisty family drama keeps things interesting. But shit hits the fan pretty fast too!

I rewatched this the other night after picking up the bluray!!

Still creepy as hell! Still amazing wuxia action! Still a beautiful atmosphere dripping with Mario Bava-esque gothic colors!! Still gruesome and gnarly!! Still a wonderful example of Hong Kong horror and one of the best of all-time.

I enjoyed this supernatural-tinged paranoid marital thriller. This originally got on my radar bc some consider it an example of Korean black magic horror. I guess so? I have also heard it's considered by many to be a seminal work in the history of K-horror.

I loved how melodramatic this got. Pure suspense and tension bubbling until it bursts. I didn't exactly know where this was going to go despite some clichés---it threads a tight needle between schlock and effective drama, which I loved about it. The music was great too. I need to make a list of movies with evil dolls!

Weng Weng is BETTER than Bond. I truly believed he was flying with a jetpack unlike that Sean Connery chump. And when he jumped off the building and saved himself with the umbrella?? I'm sobbing just thinking about that stunt. Weng Weng knows how to treat a woman. Weng Weng is a man's man.

Lucio Fulci is one of my favorite directors of all-time. Just a year ago, I would've laughed at myself for saying that but it's true. I've warmed up so much to his slow pace, thick atmosphere, and surreal logic.

The Beyond is probably Fulci's definitive film. While he had his hand in giallo and made his mark on the zombie subgenre as well, this middle chapter in his Gates of Hell trilogy feels the most unique to his sensibilities. You got a dreamy southern gothic supernatural splatterfest that could only come from Fulci's mind and feels so unique to him. It wouldn't be Fulci without an eyeball gouging and some bugs too!

Watching East Asian horror is so wild because I'm just trying to watch a crazy supernatural horror flick and they gotta title it "The Torture and Brutal Rape of a Ghost",,,, I imagine the world where I Spit on Your Grave was called "I'm Gonna Kill You, Rapist Pig!"

Once again, an absolutely sleazy title for a Hong Kong black magic story; however, unlike The Rape After, this is an actual rape-revenge story and it's brutal as hell. Kuei Chih Hung has such a demented touch in his films/scripts. It's so fucking cathartic to see these shitty people get EVISCERATED. Syringes in faces, eyeballs gouged out, YESSSS!!! DIE RAPIST PIGS!!

I saw the 3rd Final Destination in theaters before I was even in kindergarten. The 4th with my grandpa. And the 5th with my dad after my parent's divorce. On top of watching the first and ESPECIALLY second on DVD religiously, these movies have a warm and sentimental spot in my heart. I was fortunate enough to see Bloodlines with my dad again tonight, who I hadn't seen a movie with in theaters since Top Gun Maverick. His review? He can't stomach this shit no more LMAO

Me? I think this is one of the best in the franchise. It absolutely understands these films are camp. It also doesn't attempt to be a full tongue-in-cheek, horror comedy either; it's just an over-the-top and fun splatter flick! You get a spin here, too, with it being wrapped in a family drama. I think it really helps the heart of the film and makes you care enough about the characters---maybe even more so than most of the past entries (those characters were written for you to hate and wanna see brutally slain)

Just enough changes to the formula to keep things fresh. Having the cousin be MORTIFIED on his own death was great. And that MRI death is a series best. I am a bit shocked that they didn't hold back on the gore. Perhaps even enhancing it?? This just hit the right amount for me and had me smiling, laughing, and eating it up along with the audience. I can't believe they were just gonna throw this on HBO Max initially! And watch,,, it's gonna make the most out of the whole franchise and will get a sequel (that probably sucks a bit more)

A fun and unwieldy so-bad-it's-good horror anthology. There are no plots for each segment; just weird ideas and scenes stitched together without any care for structure or intent. Just BLOOD! And INSANE PEOPLE! And SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS! And SO MANY MUSICAL NUMBERS *BUT* IT'S THE SAME SONG OVER AND OVER!

A great documentary. A really liked the personal presentation here. I think it makes the whole thing feel intimate, gives it a new perspective, and makes this really stand out from the other film docs I've seen. It covers SO much but it's one of the best docs on Blaxploitation out there, I learned a fair bit myself.

I think if you are expecting an all-out bloodbath or bananas extravaganza, you may leave this disappointed. But this one really makes up for it with a GREAT tale of evil, greedy people using people like objects for their gain. It's quite darker than I expected, dipping into textbook Japanese Ero Guro with tied and bound concubines. Japan has a very unflinching depiction of sex and violence in their artworld I love seeing explored, and I can really only compare it to what Clive Barker's work attempts to achieve or some of the rawness in Filipino cinema I've seen.

It slowly builds into a vengeance tale and it's oh so good! When the ghost comes back all white and crazy, I WAS SO HYPED! It builds up to the supernatural elements and makes it feel like a campfire folktale almost. A lot of beautiful imagery too. I also loved the jazz fusion score that reminded me of something Goblin would do for Dario Argento.

I was really enjoying this one, but it kinda becomes long-winded. Needs 20 minutes cut and a lil more insanity. This is more of a ghost/possession story with black magic elements and I think it could've used some more thrills. However, there was an interesting story here still and it's a devilishly twisty mess nevertheless. And I still do love this brand of surreal supernatural horror from Asia no matter what LMAO

Kinda disappointed in this one. Was looking forward this giallo---one of very few that infuses Supernatural elements into it. But I leaned a bit more towards bored rather than vibing with this one's atmosphere. Kinda was hoping for more thrills. I like the gloominess and psychological elements. But it's low-tier Fulci for me.

Probably the most uncomfortable I've ever been watching a movie. Definitely illegal. Probably the most disturbing movie I've seen. I get it. But I'm good.

It's honestly too bad this movie's title is so off-putting, because this is actually a really good Hong Kong black magic movie. It's actually a sequel, in name only, to Devil Fetus and is superior to the original imo. While that one settled for a slower pace and build-up to the surreal, supernatural insanity, this one dives straight in with cleavers to the head, pregnant corpses, diced up fingers, and so many rats!

There's a lot of really solid death set pieces and practical effects. Like I've seen a lot of syringe stabs in movies but this was a gruesome one! And I've seen a lot of bug vomit in these black magic horror flicks but never have I seen FROG vomit! Altho, Curse of Evil did have bloody, killer frogs 🐸

A very enjoyable time and I'm honestly not sure why it's called The Rape After: Devil Fetus 2 because there really wasn't any sexual assault? There was an abortion scene and there certainly were lots of fetuses, but that title was just uncalled for, damn; black magic movies have this exploitative titling track record with Spirit of the Raped coming to mind too. Pure sleaze.

A bit slower paced than I expected but the journey is still great. I laughed a good bit and the action was stellar ofc. Jackie Chan just sweats charisma and likability. Also hilarious to see how much Western films like The Karate Kid ripped from films like this.

This movie was released in 1990 but is the 80s concentrated into one movie. A buddy cop formula, the "___ Cop" title, a hilariously cheap synthesizer soundtrack, and even a scene of people working out in a gym.

This is really the tail-end of the Hong Kong black magic craze. It's less about the horror and more about the comedy which thankfully works because it's pretty sharp. The loop of these movies is getting funny too because moments of this feel influenced by the Freddy movies which I find hilarious because the Freddy sequels themselves were influenced by Chinese supernatural horror. The runtime flew by for this one; it was over before I knew it.

It's much better than the second movie, but not as good as the first. Feels like an extended episode in a GOOD WAY this time. It's got a grand scale and upped animation while also keeping the vibe of the series right.

ALSO, I have been ensuring to watch the shorts beforehand too that were in the theatrical releases. I think this short, Pikachu and Piccu, was just okay lol! None of the shorts really stand out although the pretty forest imagery of Pikachu's Rescue Adventure might make it my fav so far.

The No Wave film movement emerged in New York in the late 1970s. It can be characterised by its avant-garde and experimental approach and with links to other cultural movements such as music and art. No Wave rejected the conventions of traditional narrative cinema to embrace a more chaotic and fragmented style. It combined the emerging punk rock scene, themes of urban decay and cultural disillusionment, artistic experimentation, and guerrilla-style independent filmmaking.

Initiated by Nick Zedd as the original No Wave Cinema collapsed under its own weight in 1984. A manifesto for a "Cinema of Transgression" was published, and ushered in a harder and more sexually oriented mode of filmmaking than present in regular No Wave Cinema.

The violent and abrasive films were frequently banned from theaters and denied screenings at festivals. Some films were overtly political and criticized the Reagan istration—for its neglect of the AIDS issue and for what some felt were the emergence of police state in the US.

Richard Kern is probably its most famous director, and notable films include The Right Side of My Brain, You Killed Me First, Where Evil Dwells, Fingered and the anthology Manhattan Love Suicides.

A list of what many would call so-bad-it's-good. However, I think we can agree that these films are so much more than being enjoyably bad; they transcend the boundaries and expectations of the artform in a truly entertaining way. I wanted to devise a list where I celebrate films that truly go beyond our preconceived notions of "greatness". I don't want to devalue these films, write them off as bad, or for them *only* to be ironically enjoyed.

Lets take an obvious example, The Room, which is a film that is often classified as a pinnacle of so-bad-its-good cinema; I truly think we are devaluing the greatness of The Room by asg badness to it. I think this community has grown a lot since the findings of Birdemic, Fateful Findings, and Troll 2. I think we can all agree there is an electric quality to these films and many of us are constantly in search of films that scratch a similar itch.

I am labeling these films as "metamorpho-flix"

They transcend the artform of cinema by defying our standards of entertainment. What we classify as good and bad gets thrown out the window as we sit in awe at what has been crafted. These aren't even really films that can be crafted... as if a recipe could create one; most great films can be achieved through dedication and knowledge of the craft while these films excel by happening via sheer luck/chance of sincerity (and we truly thank them for that).

So please celebrate the world of outsider art and metamorphoflix!
