Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning

2025

★★★★ Liked

The very complaint you'll hear from The Final Reckoning (and maybe with dead reckoning too) is the raw intensity it misses, the formula McQuarrie and Cruise perfected in fallout where each sequence builds upon another creating a sweet and overwhelming crescendo. And no MI movie, infact not any other movie reached to it's level. And I think it's very fair to let this duo try something different.
The movie carriers a philosophical undercurrent. Something they want to bring on surface and they do invest a lot of time exposing it (half of the movie). dont want to write a lot about it, something to do with AI and humanity which I absolutely loved. It has it's flaws but it will grow on you in time, atleast if you are fan of this franchies beacuse this so call "exposure" is well deserved given its been done after 7 movies (and they succeeded in bringing it all together).

And it's still a MI movie. The two major set pieces are awe inspiring and more absorbing than thrilling, a very suiting action in context to the stakes has never been higher. And still it did not went over the top feel like action (its just a submarine and a plane) but works as we live in shadows, for those who we hold close, and for those who we never meet.

The conclusion to the franchise is at high, making Ethan Hunt an essential rogue man, who'll never stop and so should we not rewatching these movies again and again.

007 suck my di**
