Decided to kick off pride month this year with this fabulous documentary about drag queens in the late 80s.
Really loved seeing all the outfits and the production and interviews were well done, bringing some nice insight into all the different aspects of the shows, and the people who were a part of them.
It was also interesting to see how much drag has changed since then, too.
I'm not typically one for documentaries, but this is one of the better ones.

This was kind of disappointing.
I actually didn't realize until the opening credits that the screenplay was borrowed from a 1936 film adaptation, or that the film was originally based on a novel.

I was mostly just here for two reasons; the first is because Michael Mann directed it, and the second is because Daniel Day-Lewis was in it, and to be fair, while the rest of the cast only gave solid performances, Day-Lewis did deliver with a great performance.…

The setting here is a bit too unrealistic, in a future where technology is present, and people know how to use it, but everyone has forgotten everything they knew about the past (even what a "book" or the "sky" is).

Nice animation here. The soundtrack and performances are also good.
It's a shame the story is so basic, and the pacing is too fast, with most fights aside from the big finale only lasting for one or two attacks. Blink and you'll miss them. I guess they wanted to give every saint some screentime, but it just feels rushed.

Also, the use of the gold cloth makes no sense here compared to how it's used in the main series, and…
