Well, I saw this with my family for my rewatch, and my mother kept complaining about how the final battle was “needlessly overlong,” so I think I’m gonna take my future into my own hands and disown myself. Currently looking for a new home!
I worried that the surprises and shocks wouldn’t land as hard now that I knew the trajectory of the film, but the impact managed to match the strength of my first viewing. It’s just such a one-of-a-kind, rewarding experience that won’t ever quite be replicated again, and I’m continually in awe that I get to witness this massive historical event.
RDJ and ScarJo remain my MVPs, moving me quite literally beyond words, yet again. Just stupendous work from all around.
Wherever the MCU goes from here, I’ll gladly jump at the chance for another ride with these characters. No matter who leaves or stays, this world will always feel like home.
