haven’t logged a movie in over a week which is entirely unlike me but letting everyone know i’m still alive and have simply been locked the fuck in to one of the best seasons of television i’ve ever seen. if you haven’t ed andor hive yet literally what are you doing. i regret all the time i wasted these past three years so much. as good as your favorite star wars movie and sometimes maybe even better. can’t form any other coherent thoughts rn but just wanted to spread the good word before i lock back in for s2. WATCH IT NOW

quietly crushing. where screams would be more than justified, this says so much by simply starkly and soberly laying all the facts bare, and letting conversations of unimaginable cruelty play out casually - only further underscoring the enormity of this unchecked and inescapable evil.

Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace

fun fact: i was born on may 19, 1999 - the same day the phantom menace released - and my dad had tickets to the midnight premiere bc i wasn’t due for another month but then my mom’s water broke and she was like uh yeah that’s not happening tom

anyway he and i had somehow never watched this together over the years so we fixed that tonight to celebrate the 25th anniversary of both the movie and me and i just think that’s sweet :)

it’s absolutely impossible for me to be impartial about this movie because tfios pretty much defined the entirety of my adolescence and also made me wanna be a writer so know that i am rating with my heart instead of my head and please respect that ❤️

(boom clap is responsible for at least two and a half of these stars. shailene woodley is the other two)

watched this with my mom for her first time last night and she was accidentally under the assumption that timmy was not only nominated for the oscar but also won so having to break the news to her immediately after she watched That Ending is one of the hardest things i’ve ever done

watched this yesterday bc i asked twitter who the man in the suit was in sabrina carpenter’s new music video and everyone replied “MILO MANHEIM!!!” and subsequently yelled at me for not having seen prom pact so i decided to see prom pact and by the time i finished prom pact i was left gagged by how good it was and also how hot blake draper was so now i have a new comfort movie and two new crushes thx guys!

Pretty much a perfect movie ?

I wanted to be Rapunzel so bad as a kid and I have finally fulfilled that goal as a bad bitch with long blonde hair

When they make this live-action remake I demand to be consulted bc this is the most personally invested I’d ever be in one of these so you better be listening Bob Iger 🫵🏻👂🏻

(Also Flynn Rider unfortunately influenced my type since childhood and I’m only just now realizing that)

Lol I came home and turned this on immediately after my sixth watch of The Way of Water because all I wanted to do was to go back and watch that again and this was the next best thing.

This movie is just so so so so SO magical to me and it hasn’t lost an ounce of its power or pull in the past 13 years (despite the fact that I now inexplicably think the sequel is even better

Still fucking rips, but rewatching this just made me realize how much better the sequel is on almost every level, staggeringly so. Y’all aren’t ready - and I cannot WAIT to see it for a second time this weekend 😍
