This movie is still a masterpiece but Rachel Sennott, Ayo Edebiri, and Ruby Cruz showed up beforehand to premiere the Bottoms trailer for us and now that’s all I’ll be thinking about until the end of time

“I’m gonna be 24 soon, and I haven’t done anything with my life.”
Wow wow wow did not know how hard this would hit watching it the week of my 24th birthday ! 😮💨😵💫
Anyway I got inspired to finally watch this bc I’ve been rewatching Girls and when Hannah goes home in Episode 6 of Season 1 she has a Party Girl poster in her room and I said “hm I should finally watch Party Girl” so here I…
One of those scripts that’s so good - so raw, so real - that it simultaneously inspires you as an artist to create something yourself that captures that same authenticity and scares you away from ever writing again because how can you possibly make something on par with this LMAO 🫠
Anne should have two Oscars by now I’m so sick
Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret is simply such a magical movie. As hysterical as it is heartwarming, endlessly empathetic, and refreshingly real about all the emotions and experiences of adolescence. Abby Ryder Fortson is an absolute star, and Rachel McAdams is mother (literally). It’s a gift to girls everywhere and I’m so happy future generations will have this to guide them through the mess that is middle school :’)))
I loved every single second of Sanctuary, a smart, sharp, and sensationally sexy love story for sickos that’ll have you both horrified and horny for 90 minutes straight. Margaret Qualley and Christopher Abbott are at the top of their craft here - a match made in masochistic heaven. You guys are gonna love this lol omg.
WHAT THE FUCK THIS WAS SO FUN??? I missed it at Sundance and never saw the trailer (and I’m glad I didn’t, because it gives away way too much) so I went into this screening with only the faintest remembrance of the logline and ended up having an absolute blast. It’s so sick to see a super-stylized Edgar Wright-esque action-comedy from the female perspective, and even though writer-director Nida Manzoor‘s script gets more absurd as the film goes on, she’s…
I love Isabel Sandoval and the way she sees the world so so so much. When I first watched this film during the pandemic, I was still in the closet, and lemme just say it hits a lot harder after one year on HRT and one year of experiencing life, love, and ~everything else~ as a trans woman. I love that Isabel has total tonal control over the film at all times (as the star, writer, director, producer, and editor)…
